Do you think there is a correlation between hiccups in the womb and reflux/colic?

Posted this just out of curiosity. My first baby never had hiccups and did not have reflux/colic. Second baby had hiccups ALL THE TIME and she really struggled with reflux/projectile vomiting. Third baby cooking and no hiccups yet.

Hm, I would say maybe you where not aware of baby hiccuping?  Hiccups are a good sign, it's a sign that baby is practicing swallowing. I would be concerned if he never hiccuped.

#1 hiccupped non stop. Horrible colic no reflux
#2 normal amount of hiccups. No colic HORRIBLE reflux.

Interesting. I’ve never thought about it, but my daughter had hiccups all the time in the womb and she had to be on medication for bad reflux for a few months until it resolved. No colic though.
I’m nearly 33 weeks with my son and he’s not had them half as much, maybe three times total thus far. If that’s any indication I really Hope we don’t have to deal with the reflux again!
