Mobile for crib necessary?

Can’t decide whether to keep a mobile that I purchased for the crib or not!?

Definitely not necessary but if you have one why not use it?

No because once they can see it, they get distracted looking at it instead of sleeping!

I made one(Pintrest) and hung it from the ceiling.  But did not get one that spins or plays music.

We don’t have one & my baby sleeps fine. I don’t think it matters one way or the other.

I mean , if you already have it, it's nice but we never got one and my daughter sleeps just fine.
