Splitting up from baby’s dad during third trimester

Has anyone been in a relationship at the start of their pregnancy and ended it towards the end?

How did you work things out with what to do with your baby , who sees them when & even the court process ?

My ex and I agreed that we’d like to keep things civil and not go through court because we think it does more harm than good , but can guarantee his family will want to drag me through court anyway.

How much do you think is fair to let the baby spend time with him , I feel a bit scared because our baby will only be a newborn and my ex really knows nothing about children as he is the youngest out of all his relatives.
