Do you or let your kids mix play doh colors? I remember when I was kid I was not allowed to mix the colors.

I personally don’t see what the big deal is. They’re children. They’re curious. Play doh is fairly low cost and can even be found at dollar tree.

I don't. Once they're mixed they cannot be unmixed and turn into a horrible disgusting color and then I need to buy more. So no mixing

I let her mix, she’s very creative and loves colors and painting. So I don’t want to inhibit that side of her.

I used to not care if they get mixed but after a ridiculous amount spent on buying new colors all the time I brought in the rule to only have two colors at a time and not to mix.
Saying this now though I think I'm overreacting because of she doesn't care then I shouldnt

I’ve worked in daycares and have a little one on the way. I  am totally for kids mixing colors but it bothers me so much that I actually cringe. I don’t want to take the creativity away from kids. I will let my daughter mix colors no matter how much it’ll bother me. 😂
