Amoxicillin side effects?

My LO has an ear infection and was prescribed amoxicillin. He is very hyper, fights naps and sleep, and sometimes gets aggressive. I miss my mild-mannered sweet boy. Anyone have the same experience or any words of wisdom? At mu wits end.

Amoxicillin never worked for me as a kid nor does it work for my daughter. We had to switch to Zithromax for her ear infections. You could always call the doctor and ask for something else  that’s what I had to do!

I'm guessing it's the pain related to the ear infection. Are you giving pain killers at regular intervals ? Ear infections really hurt. The pain is excruciating.

My baby girl is dealing with the same! Ear infection and amoxicillan (spelling?). We haven't had those issues (my girl is kind of ALWAYS like that), but we have had BLEEDING diaper rashes and what looks like a severe yeast infection since she started it. It was so sudden that I figured it had to be the meds. Then my mom told me the same thing happened to me when I was a little girl and got ear infections. It's crazy. 
Do you think he could be acting out from the pain? I know my daughter was! Ear infections are hard on our little babies!
