Separation anxiety?

My almost 11 month old daughter just scared me. She made the cry that fades and her lips turned blue! She scared me. She now cries when I put her down. Is there something I need to be doing? Or did she just realize that sometimes I leave her?

She’s realizing you are leaving her. It’s normal and not uncommon. Some kids have it worse than others. I feel it’s harder on SAHM because their always with their kids. My daughter is used to me going to work.

My daughter is the same way. Read The Wonder Week’s book. It’s amazing! It goes through the phases of development and list the babies behaviors during this time. It’s always spot on with my daughter. According to the book, our babies are currently going through a developmental leap and during this time they will want to be held by their parents more. They are anxious and unsure about the world now that they are aware more and want to be near us for reassurance. Phase may last a few weeks.

It could be that or your baby might just be needy right now. Is your baby cutting any teeth or maybe had a tummy ache? I know my baby is extremely needy right now since her teeth are coming in. I can barely put her down she gets soooo upset 💔 it will probably pass for the both of us!
