When is the right time for fertility treatment?

I have always wanted kids.  A planned surprise that I would learn about at home when my period ended up being late.  That just hasn't happened.  It is not fair that we need help conceiving.  How do you know when it's the right time to try help? We have tested and have unexplained infertility.  We have been trying 2.5 years and doing everything within our power to conceive on our own.  How will we know it's the right time to get medical intervention?

The right time is when you decide but if I were you, I wouldn’t wait. The sooner, the better.

We waited the recommended 1 year. I wish we would have gone sooner though. I made my first appointment in early May and now we're just finishing up our first IVF cycle. (we didn't do any IUI's so it was just months of waiting and waiting for this test and that test and this cycle and a response to this medicine)

We plan on intervention (femara) after 12 months
