Airing out crib and mattress?

Question

Bought a crib and mattress today and my baby finally fell asleep in it until I started reading that you need to air our mattresses first?? Idk anything about this but the mattress company- sealy - is chemically tested etc. I was nervous so I took him out. Any ideas?

We got the nursery set up 2 months before he arrived and we had an air purifier and opened windows daily to air out all the VOC in the new furniture (paint fumes and such).
We got the Wovenaire mattress so zero chemicals in it.

I guessed we aired ours out as we got it before baby came and set up the crib. Didn't know this though. I'm sure your not the first to have done it! I wouldn't worry too much.
