A Rainbow baby is called a rainbow baby because it comes after a "storm". I think women who have chemical pregnancies would still define that as a storm... It hurts regardless of how far along you are.

The first time I lost was a chemical. I didn't even know I was pregnant. I was suggested tot she a test because of some weird stuff happening. It came out positive. I was only pregnant for about a week after the test then lost. I didn't even know what a chemical was at that point.  
Then I got pregnant after the chemical, carried until 8w5d but the 💜 stopped at 7w. Just a day or two after my ultrasound. I have to admit that one was so much worse. Knowing I was pregnant the whole time , getting to see my baby on the ultrasound and then crying as I held my baby in the palm of my hand. 
No matter what a loss is a loss. It's still heartbreaking either way.
