In college, I had a part time job at Harley Davidson which was about 30 minutes away from my house. I woke up 10 minutes late one morning because I stupidly decided to go to a party the night before. I proceeded to call my boss to explain that traffic was horrible while I was actually rushing to get ready. Work went great although I was 15-20 minutes late. Only problem is he caught me right before I was about to leave when he asked exactly how far away I live. I told him then he asked “how was traffic?” I still kick myself for saying “Absolutely clear. I got here way faster than I expected to!” He almost fired me right there on the spot. Absolutely humiliating 🤦🏼‍♀️😂
