Project number 2

So I’ve been teaching myself to crochet & knit lately and I’ve made a relatively crappy hat for my tot (it’s not quite long enough) but these were project number 2 & I’m relatively happy with how the first glove came out. I need another skein for the second glove (I started this & the yarn got knotted when trying to pull to undo about 4 times). Suggestions on ways to improve? I used lion landscapes yarn and a 5mm hook. Followed the pattern off of a YouTube video.
