I have a question. Has anyone gone through the process of having their baby’s umbilical granuloma cauterized with silver nitrate???? My baby had that done yesterday since his umbilical cord fell off at 10 days after birth and still had some bleeding and was rubbing off on his pj and diaper. We woke up this morning and all the black stuff ( the ailver nitrate) that was used to cauterize it was on his pj, leaving his belly button pinkish under. Has anyone gone through this? Did it heal ok? I calles the dr this morning and they said it was fine , but I’m scared , and don’t want it to get infected....
