Chemical pregnancy?

I tested positive on a FRER and Clearblue digital on the weekend- AF was 4 days late at that point (could be less, my periods have been a little off since a miscarriage in June). Went to the doctor today and did a urine test, line was faint. Planned on going to do the bloodwork tomorrow. This afternoon I started bleeding (today would be 5 weeks)- is this how a chemical pregnancy goes? Anyone with experience?

That’s exactly how my last two went.  Both right at 5 weeks also.

Blood test will confirm one way or the other, but it could be. If the bleeding isn’t heavy it could be implantation and not your period. But I had a chemical pregnancy a year ago - took a positive test and thought we had our rainbow. The next day test was negative- had blood drawn to check and started bleeding. The bleeding continued like my regular period and when I got the blood test results back my HCG was only a 3 😢 Hoping you have a better result ❤️

It’s when your hcg levels are slow rising and don’t double. You’ll have to get multiple blood draws to see
