Read before voting!! Which name? (Boy)

So I LOVE the name Jamie for a boy. I know in the states it’s more of a girl name but I prefer it for a boy. My husband also loves it but thinks we should go with James on the birth certificate so he has more versatility when he can choose what he wants to be called. However I’m not a fan of the name James and we have both said that would only call him Jamie and we would introduce him as Jamie.. what are your opinions? I feel like we would only go with James to please others but I’m conflicted! Comments are encouraged.
