Car Seat Blanket?

Question

I know putting at baby in a car seat with a bulky coat is a big no no, and covering them with a blanket seems to be the best way to go.
However I just spotted these car seat blankets on Etsy that allow the buckles to slip through the blanket, allowing you to surround them a bit more.
I’m just not sure if it seems safe. What do you guys think?

No because you aren't supposed to have anything under them like that in acar seat

Nooooo. Definitely not. No aftermarket car seat accessories at all. No puffy coats or suits in the seat. Bundle over the straps.

Nope nothing between the car seat and baby. I would look into a car seat poncho if you need something

Voids out the warranty were anything to happen to baby in the event of a wreck, not worth it.

Like a newborn? Id worry about suffocation. If shes in the backseat alone and wiggles. This is cute maybe for an older baby but even then you arnt suppose to add things to carseat that wernt tested with it

I’m hoping to get this for our baby. It goes around the car seat, and would need as much attention as a blanket.

This is what they look like. You just buckle the baby in like normal under the poncho.

If you really love the blanket, you can get it and use it with the carseat in the stroller, just not driving. The other ladies are right, nothing in between baby and carseat. It is a cute blanket tho! I could see using it while we walk about in the stroller!

I would only use one if we were using the stroller. Layers and blankets for the car.
