Honestly, just practice. Practicing helps you learn your face and gives you a chance to try different techniques and see what feels comfortable for you to do. I used to practice make up before I took a shower or on days where I didn't have to be anywhere. Dont be afraid of messing up or looking ugly because growing pains are normal.
