Yes. It actually scientifically does make people closer. However, it can also be a pretty good indicator when things are shit if y’all‘ve stopped having it. Look for what the problem is. I stopped having sex with my ex husband before I consciously realized what the problem was. It took a couple months after that to realize he was an abusive fuck.

You need to have a strong relationship first. If your relationship is on the verge of divorce every time you aren't having sex, you probably shouldn't have gotten married/should get the divorce. There are hundreds of couples that CAN'T have sex for various reasons, but that doesn't make them any less valid or their relationship somehow "weaker" than couples that do.

Eh I think it depends on the couple. Personally in my relationship not having sex but instead just enjoying time together brings us closer. From past trauma sex is frustrating for me so whenever it happens it’s very one sided (still consensual) so the opposite of bonding haha

Yes. If they are only having sex with each other.  None of that applies if one isn't being faithful. But when faithful it deff does. When my husband and I go longer than a couple of days without sex we get snappy. Lol
