Do you ask if you can call or just call people?

If it’s a family member I just call and for friends I ask just in case they are busy or something

I only text and ask first if it's my mom, cause my dad might be sleeping, or if it's my hubby as he might be driving.

I guess it depends. I hate phone calls so people don't and I assume when they do it's a butt dial. If you dont ask first then I won't answer 🤷‍♀️
