So 2 days ago at 30+2, I was having cramping. I kept saying I didn’t think they were contractions but my husband said what I was describing was the same as the contractions I had when I went into labor with my first, so he insisted we go to the hospital. By the time we got to the hospital the pain was at about a 5. They hook me up, confirm I’m definitely having contractions and get me on fluids, some medicine to calm my muscles and order an ultrasound. They also checked my cervix and I was already 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. The dr kept asking me if I was sure about my due date which I found strange. Based on my estimated ovulation date, the app gave me an EDD of 1/1 but my first appointment it was changed to 1/9. This babe has been consistently measuring 2 weeks ahead so I mentioned that. My first son did the same though, they were sure he’d be here anytime between 36-38 weeks and his comfy butt came at 39+5 😑 so anyway they do the ultrasound, the dr asks me another two times if I’m sure on my due date and tells me I’m progressing early and quickly because my baby is huge. He’s about 5 pounds and I’m measuring at 35 weeks. I don’t have GD or have had any issues this pregnancy so was not expecting that. I’m not getting my hopes up though because my son was almost exactly the same way. We also are not ready for this baby to get here early, so he needs some more time to cook lol. I’ll find out in 2 weeks where we go from here 🤷🏽‍♀️
