Sons fever??

Question

My son woke up screaming early this morning for 45 minutes. I do everything to calm him down or think of what could be wrong. He felt really warm so I check his temperature and it’s 99.6 (rectal). So I get back to sleep and he’s still really warm this morning so I check him again and it’s 99.8 still (rectal) 
Would this considered to be a fever? You can tell he’s warmer than that🤦🏻‍♀️ He is almost one.

100.4 is considered a fever that young. Fevers are good for the immune system, it means it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. I don’t give Tylenol until after a temp of 102 since it’s considered “beneficial”. But you can give Tylenol if you want

I agree with not giving Tylenol. 
I would just do cold compress or a shower with colder water. 
You don’t want his body to be so hot for so long, that’s not good, but also if his body is trying to fight something (ie; the fever) let it do its thing, but just help by keeping him as cool as possible. 
100.4 is considered a fever, but whenever my son has had a higher temp, I always take precautions early on, just in case. 
If you’re worried, just call the doctor and see what they advice.

Yes. I would maybe give him the dose of Tylenol recommended for his age. If it keeps up or won’t go down call his doctor.

Could he possibly be teething? My daughter used to get slightly more warm than usual & be suuuper cranky when she was teething.

Give him a warm bath then bring them out of the warm bath to the cold air it help my son the bath is not to cold or warm just enough to be suitable for him so he doesnt hate baths

99.8 isn't a fever lol 100.4 is a fever and even then, it's a very low fever. I wouldn't give anything for that.

It is now 101. I know 99.8 isn’t one just he felt warmer.
