If not, any advice you can give to us ladies who are experiencing motherhood for the first time? Tips? Things you wish you knew, etc?

Just go with the flow and do what works for you and your baby. No two babies are going to be the exact same (with feeding, sleeping, being held etc).
This is our second and the one thing we will be doing again, to help babe sleep better is around 2 months old start making sure we are putting baby down slightly awake before nap or bed, so they learn to fall asleep on their own (not rocked or nursed to sleep)

Educate yourself! Dont only use the words of someone else's understanding of things. Do your own research and make your own decisions based on what you feel is best for you and your family. This goes from your birth and beyond! I am very glad I did this with my first and it gave me confidence when other women might not have had much in certain situations.

Go with the flow especially during labor. Don’t plan everything to the last detail that’s how you get disappointed cause it usually changes a lot. Labors differ from women to women. I didn’t have a birth plan my only request were for my SO to cut the cord and not to be asked if I want the epidural for it to be me who brought up the idea on my own so I didn’t feel pressured into it. As for the newborn stage just sleep when you can. If your breastfeeding don’t give up because it gets hard there for a little bit. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you feel you have PPD get help or tell family. It doesnt make you a bad mom. Just relax you got this mama.

Biggest advice, is keep a peaceful mind going into labor and delivery. For some reason everyone wants to share their horror stories and that anxiety only gets passed onto your baby! Its such a beautiful and hard thing already! Going into labor with the fears of everyone elses labor is just crippling if you ask me. Because no matter how traumatizing or quick and easy I bet every mom would do it again because you're blessed with your little one at the end of it all💕 good luck first time mommies!

My advice is two parts; go with the flow and don’t be surprised/devastated if your birth plan goes right out the door. every baby and birth is different and you may find yourself needing more than you thought you would. That’s ok!! Obviously, if you need medical intervention, listen to your doctors and do what’s needed. 
Secondly, don’t get to 38/39 weeks and decide you need to be induced. You could go for another 4 yes FOUR weeks before your baby is born. Let your baby grow and develop and they will come when they’re ready. Again, if you have a medical emergency or real reason you HAVE to induce, do what your dr recommends.

All baby’s are different, especially as newborns, you don’t know if you’ll get a baby who sleeps 29 hours a day or cries 14 hours a day. Regardless don’t ever freak yourself out each stage passes and everything (sleep, communication, bonding) will get better on its own with very little interference. Like if you want sleep train that’s fine but if you don’t want to don’t freak your baby will never sleep as long as you’re not impeding the process baby will slowly get better (although there will be ups and downs). As for the birth the only thing I wish I had know was my hospital had a policy on separating mothers and babies for an hour after a c section, daddy wa slept alone with baby and I we hadn’t ever really discussed what he would do if alone with babe, so I would have liked to discussed that. Also didn’t realize in the postnatal ward they come in basically every 2 hours asking exactly how much or for how long baby has fed/slept, exactly how many pees and poos, I wish I had been prepare that I would be asked that in advance I would have downloaded an app but in the moment since I had some complications and was feeling pretty bad i kept forgetting to note everything when the nurses left, this might not be as big a thing if you have a vaginal birth and only spend a day on the hospital.
