I was given progesterone to stop my heavy period that just wouldn’t stop. It lasted for a month and a half. Ive always heard that being heavy can make your periods like this, but it’s very frustrating now that I’m TTC and it starts up like this now of all times. I went to the doctor and they prescribed me progesterone to stop the bleeding. It has slowed it considerably, but I’m still having just a little bit of bleeding here and there.

My question is, how many of you have had experience with this, and has taking progesterone helped you? Did it help to regulate you? I know I’m going to need to loose weight, but did the progesterone actually regulate your cycle when you stopped taking it? Or did your period just come back heavy after you stopped?
