Milk Supply
Hey mamas, I have an awesome problem in that my baby girl has been sleeping through the night for three weeks now and she’s just over 4 months old. Unfortunately though I was always producing plenty of milk but my supply has really taken a hit I feel without night time feedings. I pump right away in the morning when I wake up (because she sleeps in later than I do and I am SO uncomfortable and full in the mornings) my LO wakes up anywhere from a half hour to an hour after I pump so I usually give her one of the bottles right away and then breast feed all day til hubby gets home and give her some bottles in the evening from my morning pump so he can feed her too and by then I feel I’m no longer keeping up with her needs anyways and she’s not getting enough from me. So the other day I pumped all day for her since we were with family who wanted to feed her and I didn’t keep up for what she was wanting by pumping. Any tips on what I should do to keep up with my little one? My first morning pumps are dwindling in amount too. HELP! What does a mama do? It’s been so good for me personally to have a full nights rest every night, emotionally I feel so much better, less anxious, and worried and happier so I’d like to try to avoid waking up at night to pump if I can. Any other tips for me besides waking up at night to pump or do you feel that’s my only option? Please only respond if you’re being kind and respectful, I’m struggling with what to do and don’t want to stress more with rude comments or put downs. Thanks in advance mamas!
