my boyfriend of 7 months just found out his one night stand from before we got together is 8 months pregnant. apparently there are two other guys that could possibly be the father. if it’s his he wants to raise the baby but he wants no kind of romantic relationship with the girl. i want to stay and be there for him but all my friends are saying i’m stupid and that i should leave. what would you do?

If he wants to step up and be a father why would you be stupid? That seems like the kind of man I'd want to be with. It was before yall were together, tell ya friends to mind they bidnes

Why would it be stupid to leave? It speaks very highly of his character to want to step up if it is his. The only thing that may be a bit difficult is the relationship with the mom (the coparenting relationship) but that's only if she's a difficult person.

This is really a personal choice. And it’s a big one. Life is about to change dramatically for him and for you if you choose to stay. There is going to be a child in the picture now. 
If you stay there will be a whole ton of responsibilities thrown on you that you didn’t sign up for and you have to decide if you are ready to help with a baby that isn’t yours. 
He’s going to go through some changes when the baby arrives and you may not recognize the guy you are dating anymore. He’s going to be spending time and holidays with this baby and possibly the mother. You may feel like a third wheel to the situation.
Then again it might not happen like that. It all depends on what you’re ready for.
