He broke his promise

My fiance liked theater in high school and college. Though it was never his major. I honestly feel he'd be really good at it. I told him this on numerous occasions. I even said I'll look into an agency to get you started. He agreed, but only after he reached his goal weight. Ok fine, he lost the weight he wanted, but went back on the agreement. He's not interested in doing it. I asked why? He said because " I live in reality and I need a real job" there are thousands of people who try to get into acting and they never make it.

I'm disappointed because I truly believe he'd be really good at it.
