Spotting Question!

Hi ladies!

I'm confused on when to count cycle day 1.

I am starting my 2nd round of clomid, but my dr has upped it to 100mg cd 3-7. Last month I was 50mg CD 5-9.

I started cramping late afternoon on Saturday and had some brown spotting when I wiped. I woke up Sunday and had started my period and had bright red blood.

My dr said to count day 1 as the first say I'd spotting.

My ? Is that if I started spotting late Saturday would I still count that as day 1?

Help!
