Horrible cold

So I cant tell if i am sick with a head cold or bad allergies... but I feel like a dump truck hit me.

I messaged my high risk doctor and he said not alot was safe to take for colds and such bu tr nyquil and dayquil were alright to take.

Has anyone else taken these and been okayed by doctor as well???

I'm a little heaistant ... but my head is so congested and cant breathe... during the day I can tough it out but at night I'm miserable and the only relief I get is in the shower ... I literally took 3 showers last night and I hardly slept :( help!!
