Induction scheduled on Thursday.

Went for 39 weeks and OB mentioned baby wasn’t growing anymore, keeping her longer inside might be risky as placenta has matured. I made the decision to induce than to c sec. my mum keep discouraging me to induce... and I am feeling beaten up, but honestly I just wanna try and see how. She keep saying inducing will eventually lead to emergency c sec.. anyone can share with me your experience with induction and how did it eventually went? I am a FTM.. I won’t change my decision but I just wanna find out more about inducing.
