Did morning sickness medicine help you?

I have been throwing up for weeks and had moderate to severe nausea. But I have breaks here and there where I feel ok and I can eat things. My doctor is willing to prescribe me something but I heard that the medicine won’t keep you from throwing up, only help with nausea. Is this true? Did it really help any of you? Which one were you on?

I took Diclegis 2 years ago with my first. I toughed it until week 10 and then stayed on it for 4 weeks to see me through the end of the nausea phase. This time, I’m 10 weeks 3 days and about to start it after 4 weeks of hell. I set 10 weeks as a goal for myself since I’d prefer to tough it out as long as possible. Also, I had OKAY luck with it last time. It was by no means magic but it did help me sleep slightly better, which can set the tone for the rest of the day.

My doctor said to take extra B6 and that helped a ton.  Unisom at night as well.  I’d ask about it

I take zofran and it gets rid of my consistent nausea. I still dry heave and stuff a few times each morning but if I don’t take it I can’t even keep liquids down I’ll be so sick. Doesn’t take it completely away by any means but definitely helps me get thru the day!! Without it I don’t think I’d ever leave the bathroom.

Get peppermint oil...a girl I work with just had a baby and used it to help with her morning sickness and it helps with mine and I had it all day for a while...

I took zofran with #1, Diceglis with #2 & both with #3 now. I’m desperate to live again. I stillll struggle. Perfectly healthy babies thus far 🙌🏻😇😇😇

Zofran helped the best. Right now, I take Benadryl to ease the nausea coz I can get it OTC & my Appt isn’t until next week.

I have not been prescribed anything (my first dr apt isn’t until the 12th of November) but my nausea is nonstop all day. Two things that helped tremendously are preggie pops and the psi band, you can get both from target. Seriously a life saver and both natural!

I have had morning sickness to the point where I've been diagnosed with hyperemesis. I've been given 4 types of medication and have now exhausted all other options because nothing seems to work. Some days I feel like they work but other days (like today) I just think they're useless! Every body is different and what works for one might not work for another. Give them a try, they can't do you any harm. Good luck xx

I have tried 2 different medications this pregnancy, the first did NOTHING. This one, as long as I take it every 8 hours on the dot I am good (still throw up once each morning) but it is totally worth not having the constant nausea
