Lopsided Nipple

Why is my left nipple always lopsided when I finish feeding my baby? It’s not naturally lopsided. Could it be he’s not latching correctly? I feed him in the cradle hold position. This same nipple has been bleeding and feels in pain at times. It’s barely any blood. I also have mastitis in my left breast and I’m trying to pinpoint the reason why. I’m wondering if he’s been unable to drain my left breast fully because of this.
