HCG 24000 but baby not detected

Mi

Update: It was ectopic. Had emergency surgery last night. It ruptured so I lost a tube. Went to my OB Tuesday she told me she didnt see anything in my tubes or ovaries so the surgeon was confused as to how she didn't see it with it being as large as it was.

My levels are at 24000. But when I had my ultrasound I was told my uterus lining is thick, but she didn't see a baby. We've miscarried twice and have been trying for awhile. I'm not sure what to think or feel. Any advice? Or anyone have a similar situation? I also have PCOS and EXTREMELY irregular periods. Help! I'm losing it.

Mine was 54,000 and they didn't see one. Today, I went back and there was a baby with a strong heart beat ❤

I went to the doctor on Friday with spotting. After an ultrasound and blood work they said the sac was empty but my levels were too high not to see anything. I went back today so it's been 5 days. They saw a baby and a heart beat. I've had nausea and cramps!

How far along are you? With an HCG that high, there should be something visible, a gestational sac in the least. Did they rule out ectopic? My story, somewhat similar below.I went to the ER on Saturday because I was spotting. My HCG was 23,338 The ER doctor said that my exam and ultrasound pointed to miscarriage as I had an empty gestational sac. Well, I went to my OB on Monday expecting it to be another MC, and there was a little baby with a nicely visible heartbeat, measuring exactly at 6wk0dys.

And she ruled out an ectopic yesterday.

You probably aren’t far along enough yet. Even if you have a HCG number like that you still may only be 4 weeks along and in that case they won’t see anything on the ultra sound. I would go back in two weeks and by then you will probably see something on the screen.

That's what i'm hoping with my period being irregular. I had only experienced symptoms for about a week before I tested. It was very minimal nausea, some cramping and REALLY tender breast. My breast are still tender, some cramping every once in awhile but no bleeding or nausea.

Was it a vaginal ultrasound or from your belly? When I was 10 weeks (and had seen the baby already via vaginal ultrasound twice), my drs office couldn’t find the baby by sonogram. I have a tilted uterus so the sonogram wasn’t finding him. I hope everything works out!

It was vaginal. She's checking my levels again tomorrow. I pray they are increasing and that i'm just extremely early. She ruled out an ectopic pregnancy yesterday at my appointment.
