Just came home from my 8 week appointment in utter shock. Did anyone else have a panic attack when finding out? I’m having a hard time coping with the news. 😓

YES! It’s so so terrifying and such a shock but I promise you it will all be ok and you will love those babies more than anything. It takes a while to sink in and it will just become your new normal. Twin pregnancy is hell but it is so so worth it. My twinnies are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I could not imagine my life without BOTH of them. Good luck on this beautiful journey mama 💓

I was kinda bewildered at first too. I just had the idea in my head that it would be one baby (never considered it could be more), and that I would have a healthy and easy pregnancy and birth, and I would have such a close bond with this baby. I had to let all of that go the second I found out it was twins. I know how hard twins can be because my SIL had them last year and her pregnancy, birth, and first year were all very challenging and complicated. I was scared and angry when I found out.
Moments later, I ran into my doctor in the waiting room and I told her that the sonographer discovered twins. She reassured us, but she also warned us that oftentimes one twin doesn’t survive the first few weeks of gestation. Suddenly my feelings changed. I went from feeling scared and angry that I was having twins, to feeling overprotective and worried that I might lose one. I realized I already had a bond with both and I would be devastated if something happened to one or both of them. I’m 12 weeks along now and although I’m still anxious about the challenges ahead, I am very glad that I’m having twins. I think there’s a reason that this is happening to me. This will be the challenge of my lifetime and I’m gonna step up and give it all I’ve got, because it will also be the biggest reward of my life as well.

I cried for a few days and was so worried as I already have my hands full with my two toddlers. I’m now 15 weeks and couldn’t be more excited! Lol

It took us several weeks for the shock to wear off. Twins run in my family, but it never occurred to me we would be having them. I will say, the best part is sharing the news with friends and family. The look of shock on their faces is priceless and never gets old. Telling people also really helps with the acceptance process too, knowing you have all these people to support you.

I was in shock too! I cried and inwardly panicked. I was not excited. I was actually a little depressed. Then at 11 weeks I started bleeding heavily and I thought I was losing them. Luckily it was just a subchorionic hemorrhage that fixed itself. After that scare I knew how much I loved them already!! I still feel a little overwhelmed but I know everything will be fine.

You’re not alone! I found out around 7.5 weeks and cried for two days. I was so scared and overwhelmed. Now at almost 12 weeks I’m ecstatic! Once you start telling people it gets better because their excitement is so fun.

This is a good community of honest women! I have 3 year old twin Girls and let me tell you I still remember the moment I found out 🤣. I was shocked, panicked, and confused to say the least! Hang in there it gets better!

I didn’t find out until 20 week u/s! 😂 My husband and I were so in shock we could only say “oh my god” for about 30 minutes 😂
I had even asked before bc I took Clomid to help conceive and they were all like nope don’t worry 🤣
