Is it true gonorrhea and chlamydia always come back??????!??!?

I’m reading online that they always will come back and that they can lead to death from what I’m reading online but my OB never said this.

No, they don’t always come back. You only get reinfected from sexual contact (if that person is infected). The only thing is that once you have an STD you’re more susceptible to get one again. As long as you practice safe sex and get tested regularly, you’re going to be fine. You won’t die.

I am a midwife and I have some education towards sexual health, but not as much as say a sexual health nurse. 
However, gonorrhea and chlamydia should both be retested 3months after contracting the infection - to assure they are gone (they should be). The only reason why they would “recur” would be if you didn’t take the dosage correctly or your body has shown resistance to the medication (which is rare). 
These STIs are also “deadly” yes, but to be honest that’s WORST case scenario. Chlamydia and gonorrhoea have to be left untreated for months and months and years for it to take an untreatable effect. THIS IS NOT a reason to not get tested however. 
Being sexually safe and happy is a good thing. I used to get scared about the judgement of having sex casually, but if a nurse or doctor ever make you feel that way, they are bad at their job !!
