Just had the scare of a lifetime

I just want to share because I’m still in shock. I’m 10 weeks 3 days today and woke up last night at 1am to A LOT of blood on my sheets and clothes. I of course panicked since I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks in June. The bleeding subsided after a few hours.

I had fallen back asleep after getting cleaned up but went to the ER early this morning to get checked. After a few hours of being there I got an ultrasound done and it showed a healthy little moving baby with a strong heart beat (184) and measuring at exactly the size it should be. I fully expected to see a lifeless baby on the screen with no heartbeat. I have never been so happy in my life - I just started bawling when I saw that.

Turns out I had a subchronic hemorrhage - part of the placenta pulled off the wall which caused the bleeding. I’m on modified bed rest for the next few days but couldn’t be happier about it since I fully expected a different outcome.
