Weird period/Blood clots no bleeding

So this month when I started my period I had no cramping or my usual symptoms and I only bleed for three days which I usually have 6or7 day long cycles. Only when I used the restroom did I pass clots and when I wiped my blood seemed watery. But out of all three days my pad only would have a few spots? Has this happened to anyone before?
