Ovulation test for pregnancy?

Question

So I read online you can take a ovulation test to check for pregnancy but it may not be 100% effective for the process of detecting pregnancy. Has anyone ever used a ovulation test for pregnancy? Did it work for you? I just took one for the hell of it. I am 7 days post ovulation and 7 days till my period according to glow. Look at my ovulation test below.

LH and hCG are so similar that and OPK can’t distinguish the difference. 
However, you’d get a positive pregnancy test before you would with an OPK. OPKs require much more hCG to turn positive than a pregnancy test.
There is also surge of LH that can happen prior to AF. 
If AF is due in 7 days, I’d think LH surge unless you can turn a pregnancy test positive already.

It sometimes works. Overall it’s unreliable since you get an lh surge before your period. It’s easier and less heartbreak to just use a pregnancy test.
