Just wondering if anyone else in this group has been in this situation...

I went for an ultrasound a week ago and baby A measured 7wk2d and everything looked perfect. Baby B (surprise!) was measuring 5wk2d and everything was appropriate for that “age” baby but was too tiny to see the heartbeat so we don’t know if it had stopped developing or not. The fetal pole and yolk sac were present.

The doctors went into telling us about vanishing twin syndrome and how baby b probably wouldn’t be viable and we should prepare ourselves for that. We go back in four days (Friday) for another ultrasound to see how things are progressing.

I understand the reality of the situation and feel like I’ve managed my expectations well, and really we won’t know until we know. But I was wondering if anyone has been in this situation when it turned out positive and both babies made it?
