Its down as abortion????

I found out I lost my baby at around 20-21 weeks. So at what would have been 23 weeks I got pretty much the abortion pill (to help me give birth as they tried to induce me (I think... They put pills in my vagina to try and start off labour) but it didn't work so then they gave me 2 pills to swollow a few hours later
However it's down on my patient record (I can access it online) as an abortion?!?  I mean yeah technically it was the aborting pill but i had a miscarriage!! And does this mean now if I get pregnant my midwife ect is going to think I had an abortion instead of losing my baby?? 
I have memorial tattoos on my leg for her and I feel like they don't mean anything now I apparently had an abortion!!

Miscarriage is a lay term. Spontaneous abortion is a medical term and that's how it will be listed on your records. Don't get hung up on words.

No. A spontaneous abortion is a miscarriage. Teschnically yout body suddenly aborted the fetus thats why its called that. They know its commonly known as a miscarriage and that it was not an elective abortion. Dont freak. I do medical billing. Its a miscarriage its just the technical term they have to use

I had the same thing since I had incompetent cervix and my labor stalled at 22+5... its aborting the pregnancy... nothing morally meant by the term.. miscarriage is a natrual aborting of the pregnancy... we loved our babies with all of our being... dont let a term on a medical record get to you.. I love my baby boy Lucas forever and always.. so sorry for your loss.. but medically speaking that's what they do.. I ended up getting pitocin and that was way harder to manage..

There is nothing wrong or shameful in that word. Sadly, society has attached a lot of stigma and shame to it that makes it all the more difficult when a woman faces the loss of a wanted pregnancy.
