How long did it take you to get pregnant after the Depo shot?

I’ve only take the shot one time and I’m due for another one tomorrow but we decided to have another baby so I’m not taking it. Will it take a long time for me to get pregnant again?

I had like 3 or 4 of the depo shots then stopped taking it then about 2 to 3 months after I stopped I got pregnant

I got pregnant 2 years after the depo shot left my system( first pregnancy). My husband and I weren't actively trying, but we never used protection. I tried taking the depo a few months after my son was born and it apparently doesn't work with my body anymore because I got pregnant On the shot and miscarried at 12 weeks. I went off the shot, and we used protection. Got pregnant for the 3rd time 6.5 months after it left my system.

I will say that I would try to let it completely leave your system though( like wait a few months). It's not advertised, but if you check the depo shot's informational website a disclaimer says that it can cause spontaneous miscarriage/chemical miscarriage for up to 8 months after you are due to take your next shot. There's also a lot of research to back up miscarriage linked to depo. Plus, waiting gives your hormones time to regulate themselves and this pregnancy has honestly been so much harder than my first( don't know if they're related or not, just a hunch).
