I am blessed enough to get a total of 4.5 months 100% pay from my job. 1 month before the birth then 3.5 months with baby. I love my job...

We’re not actively arguing about it but I can definitely feel the stress. My husband makes double my salary but has always leaned on me for paying bills.  It started with the house and utilities being in my name only as I purchased before we dated.  So he would basically just kick in rent.  
But he always forgets his wallet at the grocery store, restaurants and generally just asks me to do everything so I can definitely see my lack of income becoming an issue quick.  I’ll probably solve it by having him give me his entire check to allocate as I see fit.  It’s more about the convenience of not doing anything himself than the actual money with him.
Mofo actually asked me to schedule his doctors appointments for him at one point!  Just to give you an idea of who I’m dealing with.  So yea...the money itself is not so much the stressor.  More like the stress of having a 40yo baby and a newborn at the same time 🤔

Didn’t cause arguments, but stress. It was a hard decision because I do want to work. I felt really torn. I really wanted to stay home too and I already have health issues that being a stay at home mom is hard but it’s obviously way more flexible than having a full time job. I went back and forth a lot, I tried working once a week, but slowly ended that. Then I started my own business with my husband, but we suffered a miscarriage and it fizzled out, it had an expiration date anyways cuz of my husbands schooling starting up again, but it was fun while it lasted over the summer. my husband always wanted me to stay home. Its what I wanted my whole life, but when it came to and having graduated school right when I gave birth to my daughter I kinda felt like my chance at a career was stolen. 
Now I am so happy and fully embracing staying at home. Things are tight as my husbands finishing up school. But we are so blessed. Being at home has really blessed our family and I’ve been available to help other friends and new moms quite a bit. Maybe later in life I will work on my career, but maybe not! Homemaking is very fulfilling to me. It’s really hard, but really wonderful.

Since I stopped working (I’m 13 weeks pregnant, and a mother of an autistic 4 year old who requires several therapies daily & weekly) working became to overwhelming for me cause I just didn’t have the time to get my things for my son done, I was falling behind on his autism, MY OB apts, and my son was missing appointments he needed. So my husband and I agreed, that I should stay home... since then, he’s been talking down on me quite a bit, he’s on page G and I’m on page A. We have been fighting a lot more. We’ve had discussions about Yano respecting each other and not making me feel like shit for not working and not expecting me to do everytbkng g cause my schedule is insanely full but yet I was sick yesterday (like dog sick. I just laid in bed.) and he got so upset cause I wasn’t doing EVERYTHING & he had to pick up slack... we got into a big fight at 12am, cause I’m sick to death of it. He said he’s gonna work on it, so hopefully we can get to a better place soon. Smh so yes. It has cUsed problems and stress

My son has had health issues basically from day 1 so when my maternity leave was up it was more of a necessity than a choice. I don't think this is typical for most SAHMs.

It hasn't caused arguments but it is stressful thinking about it. Things haven't gone to plan for us. With my first daughter she was stillborn in March so I was entitled to full maternity and pay. Thank god as I was in no fit state to work. I am now 14 weeks pregnant with my second. I'm not going back to work, will be handing in my notice so will not have maternity pay with this baby. My husband earns more than enough money but it still makes you worry.
