ovarian cyst ?

hey so this is my first time posting on this, but anywho i went to the doctor yesterday for a lot of lower abdominal pain. they did a few tests and ultrasounds and they couldnt find anything so they then thought i had an ovarian cyst, has anyone had one before ? what did you do to help the pain? 
my doctors just told me to take pain medicines (ibuprofen, motrin, advil, etc.) only issue is i cannot take them because they make my nose bleed 😬 and tylenol isnt working for me. does anyone have any ideas?

I’ve had over 3 on the same ovary and more when I was 12. They put me on Codeine for pain with Tylenol in it. It should have shown up on ultrasound but they can be tricky sometimes. I suggest a second opinion, ovarian cysts aren’t anything to shrug off.

So I actually had an ovarian cyst two days ago. It was very painful, so I tried new things because Taking a hit bath, heat pad, and ibuprofen weren’t working. I tried sitting in different positions, only one was able to relieve the pain for me. The closest position I can refer it to was doggy style position. I went from being in excruciating pain to slight discomfort within an hour. I noticed being curled up is better for my cysts rather than laying out. Other things to help, drink plenty of water, watch your diet (it can make cysts worse), & rest. If you can, take birth control recommended by ur gyno. Hope this helps❤️

i have them very frequently. nothing helps with the pain, ibuprofen/advil/heat doesn't work. only thing that has helped is strong pain meds

I have an ovarian cyst. I was told to steer clear of caffeine and chocolate because it apparently makes the pain worse. I take Ibuprofen but if you can’t take it try running a washcloth under hot water and laying it on your lower abdomen. It sounds funny but it hurts
