When will you start baby food/purées ?

Just curious with the whole baby led feeding and new recommendations when everyone will be starting their little ones on foods.

The American academy of pediatrics recommends not starting any solid before 6 months. If you look on The World Health Organization it states between 4-6 months but I’m a strong believer in mum knows best and you’ll know when you baby needs to be weaned xxx

6 months. Those are current WHO guidelines as their stomachs aren’t developed enough yet before that.

My baby's pediatrician said I can start introducing rice cereal at 4 months. I'll be looking out for the signs to be sure my baby is ready first though. Then I'll start fruit & veggie purees around 6+ months

We’ll start solids when he can sit independently, shows an interest in food and is at least 6 months old. I’d like to do BLW, but I know my husband is concerned about the gagging.

I am more than likely going to wait until 6 months if not longer only because my little one is allergic/intolerant to several things right now. With my first (who is now 5) I gave her rice cereal or oatmeal in her bottles starting at 2 months in the morning and before bed. At 4 months she was eating oatmeal off a spoon and at the end of 4 months I had started her on veggies. Every baby is different 😊

Did with my other 2 but he’s not draining his bottles yet and after doing a lot of research I’ve decided to hold off till week 17.   Although weaning my first 2 at 3 months did them no harm whatsoever xx

Her pediatrician said we could start baby food at 4 months. She's been eating oatmeal cereal mixed with formula since 2 months.
