Can I half a scoop?

My son is eating 2.5-3 oz per feed, but since I have to make a 4oz bottle and toss the last oz-oz.5, I feel like I'm wasting food.. can I just use 3oz of water with a scoop & a half instead of 4oz with 2 scoops?

Yes you can. Or I’ve seen people premix up so much formula in a pitcher for 24 hour period and use that. By making portions each time they need some in a bottle. Formula is good 24 hours refrigerated and a hour outside of fridgez

My boy eats 5oz. I make a 4oz and leave it in the fridge then pour 1oz into every bottle when I make them

I’ve always done half scoops. Some people prefer not to because they don’t trust eye balling the half scoop to make sure it’s really a half of a scoop. But I feel like it’s not that hard. I don’t like wasting formula so I’m a firm believer in half scoops. 😉

Yes, we did that when my daughter was eating an odd number of ounces. We are at 6 oz 6 times a day so we don’t need the half ounce. When I increase her feedings I use half a scoop in 1 bottle later in the day
