How often do you spend time with God? (Not just 30 seconds but serious commitment)

I was troubled the other day to see someone say they "hadnt been reading the bible in my spare time"  and it made me think, is this how we treat our relationship with the father, as a hobby? Something to fill our spare time? 
This year I made a serious commitment to spending time with God daily and if has been challenging but totally worth it. Because last week God spoke to me clearer than he ever had. 
Please ladies, make God a priority in your life. He is worth turning off the tv or getting up a little earlier. God wants so badly to be close to you but that can only happen if you make time for him

I felt the same way about my relationship with God. I treated my faith as something I just did on Sundays and only prayed when I needed something. I prayed for forgiveness and recently started a prayer journal. I’m still learning to be diligent with it, but every night I write about my day, prayer requests, praises, and just stuff that’s on my mind. It’s very calming and peaceful and helps me feel close to God.

I talk to God throughout my day every day. I also do my absolute best to do my Bible studies daily. God is my father, my hope, my strength, and my salvation. Why would I not want to be with Him every day?

I used to be daily but with little kids it’s harder. Nap time during the week I try to do a devotional and Sunday morning of course. I know it’s not ideal but it’s also only a season in my life
