6 week ultrasound

So today I am exactly 6 weeks from my last period. They did a transvaginal ultrasound and could only see the sac right now, she said I will have to come back in about a week or 2 for another ultrasound for the estimated due date. Has this ever happened you? Only being able to see the sac?
