At how many months should I have my baby shower?

Question

I’m due the week of May 15th but I plan on having my baby shower at the end of February. I’ll be 28 weeks. Is that too early??
My thought is... 
1. what if I don’t get everything I need at my baby shower? Three months will give me time to buy everything. What if I don’t get enough wipes or diapers or car seat? 
2. What if I go into labor early? Like 4-6 weeks early? Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️
3. It gives me time to set up the baby’s room and organize while I still have energy. 
What are your thoughts? FTM here 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’m due March 22nd and having my shower the last weekend of January or first weekend in February. 
This way i have enough time to get what is still needed. Also the doctor told me to prepare for our baby to come at 37weeks because of my blood pressure. I’m 21weeks 5days today and I’m already setting up baby’s dresser and his crib comes tomorrow so i will set it up this weekend

I'm having two different ones bc I love out of state and I'm having them at 22/23 weeks bc I don't want to travel in my third trimester- so no I don't think it's too early! :)

I had mine 3 months early. 
had it early December, gave birth late March. 
did it before the holidays, and did it before the terrible snow we get in February. 
I also had family visiting so we planned it around that too. 
it was LEGIT PERFECT. because like you said, anything I didn't get I still had time to go out and get! I then didn't have to rush at all to set up the nursery. I took my time. and had everything done in February! when I turned into a beached whale in March all I needed to do was put my feet up and relax.

With my son I had my shower on July 6 and he was due July 22- and he decided to come July 7. He came home to stuff not set up and full gift bags 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ 
With this one my friend wants to throw me a shower (last baby was almost 11 years ago) but i just haven’t decided yet

I’m due Jan 10 and had my baby shower Nov 3. (So 30 weeks) I had to have mine earlier because of holidays and people being busy/out of town. I think you can have one whenever you want to have one!!

My shower is this Saturday. I'll be 28 weeks. I'm due beginning of February and my first baby I delivered weeks early. I prefer being prepared then waiting till the last minute because things come up 🤷‍♀️
