Do you plan on doing genetic testing?

My obgyn offered genetic testing blood tests however I’m low risk and only 31 years old. Also, I don’t have any family history which would make me feel the need to have the tests done. 
Not sure if it’s necessary? Thoughts?

I’m too young according to my OB. 😓😑 I’m 34. I’m lucky they even scheduled an NT ultrasound. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Got the Cell Free DNA test done with my son when I was 11 weeks pregnant. They drew my blood and not only did we find out he didn’t appear to have any of the genetic disorders they test for, we found out gender at 12 weeks. Insurance covered it in full. I was 33. Now 34 and getting it done this Wednesday. Looking forward to the results.

I’m 31. Low risk. This is my second pregnancy. We did a Nuchal translucency test but that was it. It’s not necessary. It’s costly and things like an amniocentesis only need to be done if they have to - IMO best to leave things to their own course.

We would like to do it. We are trying to figure out if insurance will cover it. Unfortunately it is so costly. I am also 31 and my husband doesn't have much of a family history due to his mom being adopted.

I am 31 too! I am doing the testing just because of their is something wrong I would like time to prepare. It doesn’t hurt to have time to research and find resources before you might need them.

I haven’t done it with my last 4 kids but I am this time since my youngest has a few heart conditions that are genetic
