What is the hardest thing about being pregnant and having a baby??

I’m planning on starting on this journey with my husband I am 25 we are stable. But I can’t help but be afraid of the idea of pregnancy and being a first time mine please ladies I need all the advice I can get !

Pregnancy is nothing compared to taking care of the baby. Sure pregnancy is rough at times between the nausea and being tired all the time, but adjusting to life with a new human being is hard. It’s not something you can really prepare yourself for. Just don’t forget, after you have your baby, to not be too hard on yourself or expect too much out of yourself, your baby or your husband. It’s an adjustment that takes time for everyone. Everyone gets frustrated and angry, so don’t let anyone fool you. I lost my patience with my son quite a few times and still do at a year old. You just have to know when to put them down, let them cry while you collect yourself. Somewhere, right after my son was born, I remember reading that babies are selfish, this is true. To a baby, all that matters is when they will get food, sleep or have a diaper change. They don’t care what you are doing and they will cry in the most inconvenient times, fight sleep when you just want a break, spit up all over you right after you took a shower and got dressed up, etc. Being a parent is the most tiring, frustrating, but rewarding thing you’ll ever do. To see your child grow and learn is incredible. Once my son turned 1, it was like he was leaning something new every single day and still is. His personality has come through so much and I see myself and my husband come through. It’s incredible! Just do your best, that’s all you can do! You can do it!

For me the worst part of pregnancy were the limitations. Physically I am less capable, and as someone that hates asking for help this is the worst. I normally pride myself in  fixing things around the house without assistance, staying physically fit, but now I am only do about 30% of what I'm normally capable of.

First trimester tiredness, which I kinda loved too because you sleep like a rock. Picking out a name... I mean they potentially keep it forever, that’s a big decision. And third trimester heartburn.. Zantac twice a day was heaven... and than of course all the lovely first time mom paranoid google searches throughout the entire thing. Bahaha it’s a crazy ride.

Pregnancy: The hardest part for me was having to get up and do stuff despite my body aches and nausea. 
I also had severe preeclampsia resulting in a 10 week early baby but I dont see that as effecting my pregnancy as much as it did my bonding after he was born and the emotional roller coaster after he was born. 
Having a baby physically: I had an emergency Csection and was super drugged up on mag so that was hard to handle for me.
Being a parent: the hardest part for me is leaving the house lol. There’s so much crap to bring with you and so much planning involved for really any quick trip to a store or somewhere like that.

The worst part for me was the morning sickness during the first trimester with my first baby and sleep deprivation during the newborn/baby phase.
But the positives obviously outweigh those things a thousand times over or no one would ever have kids lol. Really it’s amazing. I couldn’t imagine not being a mom. I’m due with my second in 5 weeks and already have a 17 month old.

For me, accepting that you have NO idea what you’re going to experience is the hardest. That goes for both.
I thought I would be “blessed” with a blissful pregnancy because I was healthy and happy. But even though I’m low risk, I still have severe RLP and hypoglycaemia, which means since I’ve been 5 months, going out of the house or doing literally anything that exerts energy doesn’t do my body any good, and that stresses me out! I feel like a useless potato sack.
You might think, if you’ve had kids that you know what you’re in for but you really don’t. It is completely out of our control. And relinquishing that control is the worst, in my opinion.

My pregnancy was very rough, but that is not the norm. Everyone is different. My best advice I can give you is this: be flexible. This will not always go the way you envision it. Labor and delivery may be your dream labor, but it might not. Remember this: the goal is to get through this journey with a healthy little one and healthy momma.

I’m due in less than two weeks (yay!!). The hardest parts of pregnancy have been the first trimester morning sickness, the swelling (mainly my feet and ankles but really I’ve swelled all over), and the lack of energy I’ve experienced the last few weeks. All I want to do is lay around and sleep lol. My feet have hurt so bad since like 23 weeks, probably because I gained a lot of weight really fast. I’ve gained 52 pounds so far lol. Luckily I haven’t had back pain like everyone else says they have 🤷🏼‍♀️ guess I got lucky there. But I honestly love feeling her kick and move in my belly and I feel like I’ve formed such a strong bond with her already. I really started feeling that way the last few weeks 💗 every time I see a baby I get so excited and I can’t wait to officially be her mommy!

I’m 38 weeks right now and the hardest thing so far is waiting for this baby to come. I want her out now lol. I had a really good pregnancy. I worked up until November 2nd. I’m taking a year off which is kinda nerve racking since my income alone will be cut almost in half but we will be fine.

In the beginning, the morning sickness lasted all day long & I could not eat anything, I couldn’t even drink water without throwing up. It didn’t go away until the second trimester & I was so miserable. The second trimester was a breeze, had no pain or discomfort. The third was worse. I got my nausea back, & it was accompanied by not being able to lay down at all. Most comfortable position was sitting, & it was hell to sleep. Then there’s labor. Worst pain I have ever ever ever felt. I immediately got the epidural once I got to the hospital, there was no way I was going to stay like that for 10+ hours. But really, the hard part comes when you’re actually caring for a baby. The first couple weeks were hell. I didn’t know what to do. Breastfeeding was a chore. Waking up every hour was hell. Then it takes a huge ass toll on your relationship. But, I wouldn’t change anything. I would die & kill for my baby. He’s my world, my universe, & I would go through pregnancy, labor, & the first couple months after he was born all over again in a heart beat. He’s the reason I’m going to therapy, so he has the best version of me when he’s older & can remember. I am completely in love with him. He’s everything to me. I do wish I would’ve waited a few years to have him since I was 19 when I got pregnant, but overall, wouldn’t change anything.
