Diaper rash?

17 months in and she’s never had a diaper rash - is that what this is? She only has it where her diaper touches her skin & it doesn’t seem to bother her. I’ve been putting rash cream on it for a couple of days now. Thoughts? :(

Did you ever figure out what this was from? I’m dealing with the similar thing with my nearly 3 year old daughter but it goes away and comes back. Just wondering if you found anything out about what caused it?

It’s definitely a rash but not how my daughters diaper rash looks. If it’s only in the diaper area though then it probably is. Air dry as much as you can. Just let your kid run around half naked at home. Yes accidents could/will happen but it really helps it heal very fast. Try different diaper creams. What works for my daughter as an infant doesn’t do crap now that she’s almost two. They skin changes and try buying a small pack of a different brand of diapers or wipes. We’ve been through intense diaper rash with my daughter to where she bled when we was wiped even with just plain water and a napkin being pat dry. I bought every brand of diaper cream and switched her diapers 6 different times. We’ve finally got it down to what works for her. Side note when she had the intense diaper rash we had to get a prescription diaper cream.

I would say heat rash rather than diaper rash.

Try letting her air out more often and use coconut oil when the diaper is on, make sure she’s dry after wiping and baths too
