Not having school for firearm season

So I've been going back and forth on posting this, but here it goes. Where I'm from, schools close on the Friday that firearm weekends for deer hunting start and things like that. I guess not enough kids were showing up so they decided to just not have school. How do you feel about this? I'm kinda iffy on it because I feel like students who don't hunt should still be able to go to school, but then again I don't want teachers showing up to school and maybe not even having a kid to teach.
